This is a great article. My son isn't even one year old, but I have always been concerned about this from my own life. Growing up as part of a bi-racial family myself, there was no discussion about it until I was a lot older. Whiteness was seen as 'the default' even at home where it should have been technically 50:50 if everything was fair. So I'm trying to understand a lot more myself. Thank you for the book and YouTube recommendations! It's great to see the progress since I was a child!
To add for anyone who wants to see a bit of representation education from the UK, even if it's just to marvel at the funny accents, a great TV show is "JoJo and Gran-Gran".
