Now onto the fourth day of the 30-Day Minimalism Game that I’m playing with Dan Pape from http://danielpape.co.uk/. I’m detailing it here on Medium and here’s the stuff he’s getting rid of for Day 4 followed by mine. Damn, he’s being organised about this. I’m still picking up stuff that I can see lying around!

These were a great holder for the Apple Earpods to ship in… although they were already in another box as they came with the phone… Huh. Anyway, as soon I took the Earpods out of the box, they were never going to go back in. Other people may actually use them properly, but for me, there is no point holding onto this. Into the recycling they go!

I bought a new pair of walking trousers before I went on holiday to Iceland and Orlando in January. Strange combination, I know. There’s a long story there. Anyway, even with the weather differences, these trousers were very comfortable in both extremes. I was in a rush before I left and cut of the label without reading it. In case it had some clever things to tell me about how well constructed these trousers were. At the end of the day it really doesn’t matter. They’re great, I wear them and would buy another pair to replace them if I somehow lost them. But the label can go in the recycling.

I love writing, even if my handwriting is terrible and what I actually write doesn’t get seen by anyone but me. However I am a hoarder of pens and paper. I don’t know about anyone else, but holding onto random, half-used notepads is something I’ve done for years. It’s time to start getting rid of them. There are the notebooks I write in that I like and that I will replace with a similar one again. Then there are little ones like this that I have accumulated that I only use if there is nothing else. It’s time for this one to go into the recycling and any others I find to join them or go to someone who might actually use them!

I don’t really drink anything at my desk except water. This makes me strange, I understand that. Most people like their coffee or their tea. However strange I am, I do need something to protect my desk from potential damage. However, I already have a coaster. I’ve had it for years and don’t need another one. I’m also not going to join the British Army, so I don’t really need to keep hold of the URL. I think it can go too.
