I think the idea that an unfair existence for successive generations would continue to have an impact on lives now has only recently entered the public consciousness, even though the signs are everywhere throughout all forms of statistics in America.

It’s important that documentaries and discussions are widely shared and people understand that it isn’t simply about laziness or lake of drive that causes these differences in wealth and attainment. It’s systemic, historical, and in some cases, getting worse. Just look at how long it takes for the average black person to wait in line to vote in America compared to the average white person. It’s disgusting.
